Onkruid Studio ontwikkelt projecten op het kruispunt van muziek, kunst, architectuur en stedelijke ontwikkeling. Met onder meer Horst Arts & Music en Asiat Park bouwen we aan plekken waar cultuur, experiment en ontmoeting ruimte krijgen.

Achter die projecten zit een financiële werking die evenveel aandacht verdient. Daarom zoeken we een Financial Controller die overzicht brengt, cijfers betrouwbaar maakt en vooruitkijkt. Iemand die even vlot een factuur controleert als een projectbudget doorgrondt, en graag mee bouwt aan een creatieve organisatie.

Wat ga je doen?

Je organiseert mee de dagelijkse financiële werking van Onkruid Studio en haar projecten. Je combineert een boekhoudkundige basis met inzicht in cashflow, budgetten en resultaten. Je zorgt dat informatie tijdig beschikbaar is en vertaalt cijfers naar concrete aandachtspunten voor het team.

Financiële administratie en betalingen

  • Je bent verantwoordelijk voor de interne boekhouding van alle betrokken organisaties binnen Onkruid Studio
  • Je beheert aankoop- en verkoopfacturen en zorgt voor correcte verwerking, inboeken en toewijzing aan juiste budgetten.
    • Je organiseert de uitgaande facturatie, volgt openstaande klantenbetalingen op en bewaakt betalingstermijnen.
  • Je maakt de betalingsplanning op volgens de beschikbare cashflow en afgesproken prioriteiten, en bereidt betalingen voor ter goedkeuring.
  • Je stemt af met de externe boekhouder en zorgt dat dossiers volledig en tijdig klaar staan voor afsluitingen en aangiftes.

Rapportering, cashflow en budgetten

  • Je zorgt samen met de externe boekhouder voor betrouwbare, tijdige maandcijfers.
  • Je actualiseert wekelijks de cashflowprognose en signaleert tijdig tekorten, risico’s en verschuivingen.
  • Je volgt projectbudgetten op met de verantwoordelijken. Je brengt gerealiseerde kosten, aangegane engagementen en verwachte inkomsten samen tot een actueel beeld van het eindresultaat.
  • Je onderzoekt afwijkingen en maakt duidelijk waar bijsturing nodig is.
  • Je ondersteunt de financieel directeur bij financiële prognoses en de cijfermatige onderbouwing van financieringsdossiers.

Systemen en evenementen

  • Je bewaakt de financiële inrichting en datakwaliteit van onze systemen (Odoo), met aandacht voor analytische boekhouding, projectcodes en consistente verwerking.
  • Je verbetert processen en maakt heldere afspraken over wie welke informatie wanneer aanlevert.
  • Je organiseert het kassabeheer van evenementen, van voorbereiding en controle tot aansluiting van kas- en betaalgegevens en de financiële afrekening.
  • Je brengt mee in kaart welke administratieve ondersteuning nodig is en organiseert de taakverdeling, zodat verwerking en rapportering tijdig gebeuren.

Met wie werk je samen?

  • Je werkt nauw samen met de financieel directeur en zakelijk directeur rond prioriteiten, opvolging, financiële kwaliteit, prognoses en financieringsdossiers.
  • Je verzamelt en verbindt de informatie uit het zakelijke team. Met de projectverantwoordelijken volg je budgetten en verwachte resultaten op. De externe boekhouder is je vaste partner voor boekhoudkundige en fiscale afstemming.

Wie ben jij?

  • Je hebt een basis in boekhouding en ervaring in accounting, controlling of een brede financiële functie. We denken aan minstens 3 jaar ervaring, maar je zelfstandigheid en vaardigheden wegen zwaarder dan het exacte aantal jaren.
  • Je combineert nauwkeurige verwerking met analytisch inzicht. Je begrijpt hoe boekhouding, projectresultaten en cashflow samenhangen.
  • Je werkt vlot met Excel of Google Sheets en financiële software. Ervaring met Odoo is een sterke troef.
  • Je brengt structuur, volgt afspraken op en vraagt ontbrekende informatie actief op.
  • Je communiceert helder over cijfers, ook met collega’s zonder financiële achtergrond.
  • Je signaleert problemen tijdig en denkt mee over haalbare oplossingen.
  • Je voelt je thuis in een projectomgeving met verschillende activiteiten en piekperiodes. Ervaring in cultuur, evenementen of een organisatie met meerdere vennootschappen is mooi meegenomen.
  • Je hebt affiniteit met wat Onkruid doet. Je hoeft niet uit de sector te komen, maar bent nieuwsgierig naar de werking achter onze projecten.

Behind these projects lies a financial operation that deserves just as much attention. That’s why we’re looking for a Financial Controller who can bring structure, ensure reliable financial data and look ahead. Someone who is equally comfortable checking an invoice and analysing a project budget, and who is eager to help build a creative organisation.

What will you do?

You will help manage the day-to-day financial operations of Onkruid Studio and its projects. You combine a solid accounting foundation with an understanding of cash flow, budgets and financial performance. You ensure that information is available on time and translate financial data into actionable insights for the team.

Financial administration and payments

  • You are responsible for the internal accounting of all organisations within Onkruid Studio.
  • You manage purchase and sales invoices, ensuring they are processed, recorded and allocated to the correct budgets.
  • You organise outgoing invoicing, follow up on outstanding customer payments and monitor payment deadlines.
  • You prepare payment schedules based on available cash flow and agreed priorities, and prepare payments for approval.
  • You coordinate with the external accountant, ensuring that all documentation is complete and ready on time for financial closings and tax filings.

Reporting, cash flow and budgets

  • Together with the external accountant, you ensure reliable and timely monthly financial reporting.
  • You update cash flow forecasts on a weekly basis, flagging potential shortfalls, risks and changes in advance.
  • You monitor project budgets together with project managers. You combine actual costs, committed expenditure and expected income to maintain an up-to-date overview of projected final results.
  • You investigate variances and identify where adjustments are needed.
  • You support the Financial Director in preparing financial forecasts and providing the financial analysis required for funding applications.

Systems and events

  • You oversee the financial setup and data quality of our systems (Odoo), with a focus on analytical accounting, project codes and consistent data processing.
  • You improve processes and establish clear agreements on who provides which information and when.
  • You organise cash management for events, from preparation and monitoring to reconciling cash and payment records and completing the financial settlement.
  • You help identify the administrative support required and organise the division of tasks to ensure timely processing and reporting.

Who will you work with?

  • You will work closely with the Financial Director and Managing Director on priorities, financial monitoring, quality control, forecasts and funding applications.
  • You collect and connect information from across the business team. Together with project managers, you monitor budgets and expected results. The external accountant will be your regular partner for accounting and tax-related matters.

Who are you?

  • You have a solid foundation in accounting and experience in accounting, controlling or a broad financial role. We have at least three years of experience in mind, but your independence and skills matter more than the exact number of years.
  • You combine accuracy with analytical thinking. You understand how accounting, project results and cash flow are connected.
  • You are confident using Excel or Google Sheets and financial software. Experience with Odoo is a strong asset.
  • You bring structure, follow up on agreements and proactively request missing information.
  • You communicate clearly about financial matters, including with colleagues who do not have a financial background.
  • You flag potential issues early and help develop practical solutions.
  • You feel at home in a project-based environment with diverse activities and busy periods. Experience in culture, events or an organisation with multiple legal entities is a plus.
  • You have an affinity with what Onkruid does. You don't need to come from the sector, but you are curious about the work behind our projects.
