The Onkruid Kitchen is designed as an open structure where people can easily meet and engage with each other. It functions as a gathering space where people get to know each other over dinner. The Onkruid Kitchen is an open installation, gathering people, amplifying community.
The installation was tested during the build up week of the Trailerpark Festival in Copenhagen, an event organized by ArtRebels. By choosing for a long table, cosy seats and a closeby kitchen, people started to communicate quickly with one another. After testing the installation in Copenhagen, the next installments of the kitchen were at the campsite of the HORST Arts & Music Festival and the Playground Festival at STUK Arts Centre, Leuven
